AIM Classroom Grades 7-8

have been teaching here at MacArthur since 2009 and have been in the special education department since 2014. Previously, I served in the United States Army for 23
years. My alma mater is the University of Phoenix where I received a
B.S. in Information Technology in 2006. My certification is as a generalist teacher (qualified to teach all core subjects for grades
4-8). I am also state certified for
special education and E.S.L. and I have
received district training for the special needs of gifted and talented
students. It has been my privilege to have coached both girls and boys soccer
here at MacArthur.
Usual Daily Schedule
Students should arrive on campus not later than 7:40
. AIM students must be in the classroom by 7:45
and will be counted as tardy after 7:50
. Late arriving students must report to the main office.
1st/7th period (7:50-8:55 a.m.) Math
2nd/8th period (8:57-9:57 a.m.) Social Studies
3rd/9th period (9:59-10:59 a.m.) Science
4th/10th period (11:01 a.m.-12:01 p.m.) Art-- AIM students go to room 507 with Ms. Chavez
(I am available for conference during 4th/10th period.)
Student Lunch (12:01-12:46 p.m.)
5th/11th period (12:48-1:48 p.m.) P.E.
6th/12th period (1:50-2:50 p.m.) English Language Arts/Reading
AIM students will leave the classroom for the day by 2:45
and are escorted to their buses by 2:50
(I am available for conference on request from 2:50-4:30 p.m.)
