Vision Statement

All stakeholders take ownership for the SUCCESS of EVERY student through positive and consequential collaboration. Every student will be engaged in rigorous, meaningful, and relevant activities that result in students equipped to make wise decisions and have the skills to achieve their personal goals.

Summer School Information
Elementary Students:
The K-4 Rising Readers Academy is a fun and engaging literacy program designed to increase student's literacy skills, while preventing the "summer slide" - a loss of crucial reading and writing skills due to lack of practice over the summer. This motivational camp will combine innovative, research-based reading and writing lessons with an engaging summer camp approach. The Social Emotional Development needs of students will be met through the integration of core strengths within each lesson, designed to bring a sense of joy, community, and accomplishment to both students and teachers.
The K-4 Motivated Mathematicians Academy is a fun and engaging math remediation program designed to increase numeracy skills of students. This motivational camp will combine innovative, research based math lessons with fun games, lessons, and personalized math interventions based on individual student needs.

The camp will run June 12-30, 2017 (Mon-Fri) from 12:45PM-4:00PM at Cielo Vista Elementary School. Free lunch will be served from 11:45AM-12:15PM. Transportation will be provided from you child's current school to this summer site if needed.

Middle School Students:
The 6th-7th Read to Achieve Academy will expand access and boost literacy achievement for students. By identifying their unique needs in reading, the program will be providing choices, challenges, and personalized reading support. This reading academy will follow a blended learning approach to personalized learning by combining online digital media with best practice classroom methods, such as high interest novel studies.
The 6th-7th Grade Math Academy is a program designed to teach students how to become logical math thinkers who can break math concepts into steps so that they are able to find solutions to everyday life situations. Students will have fun working with peers in an interactive, engaging learning environment!

Both academies will run June 12-30, 2017 (Mon-Fri) Reading from 8:00AM-11:45AM and Math from 12:15PM-4:00PM at Ross Middle School. Free breakfast will be served from 7:30AM-8:00AM with free lunch from 11:45AM-12:15PM. Transportation will be provided from you child's current school to this summer site if needed.

Title I Parent Survey
Parents, please take a moment to participate in this quick survey. The survey is open from May 2nd - June 2nd. Complete the survey, print out the final page, have your child present the page to the office by May 4th and they will receive free dress May 5th Or by May 18th to receive free dress for May 19th.

Federal Report Cards

Federal Report Cards for the state, the District, and each of the District's campuses are now available on the District's website at this link:

If you have difficulty accessing the information from the website, hard copies of the reports are available at the District or campus office. 

District Performance Ratings

The 83rd Legislature (2013) implemented Sec. 39.0545 which evaluates each district campus' performance in community and student engagement and compliance. Specifically, as stated in the legislation: (a) Each school district shall evaluate the district's performance and the performance of each campus in the district in community and student engagement and in compliance as provided by this section and assign the district and each campus a performance rating of exemplary, recognized, acceptable, or unacceptable for both overall performance and each individual evaluation factor listed under Subsection (b). Not later than August 8 of each year, the district shall report each performance rating to the agency and make the performance ratings publicly available as provided by commissioner rule.

School Report Card (SRC)

The Texas Education Agency publishes a School Report Card (SRC) for every campus in the district. Schools are required to provide a copy of their SRC to the parent/guardian of each student upon request.  A call out has been made to every students home making parents aware of the attached document and its location on our website.
